Ahmedabad set a Guinness World Record for planting a lot of trees. In one hour they planted 3.61 lakh saplings. This was part of a campaign called “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” in the Bhadaj area.
They used a way of planting called the Miyawaki method. This way the trees will grow into a forest. More than 25,000 people were there to see it happen. There were students, government officials, people from NGOs and social activists.
Many people took part in the event. They wanted to make Ahmedabad greener, improve the air quality and teach people about taking care of the environment. The team planted plants and trees on a big piece of land. Around 76,000 square meters. The event showed that everyone can help take care of the planet. We need to work to make our city a better place to live.
Even though Ahmedabad did a job and set a record, the trees need to be taken care of now. The team has to keep an eye on them, water them and protect them. If we do not take care of the trees they might not grow properly.
This event shows that we all have to take care of the environment. It is not one person’s job. We can all do things to make the planet a better place. The tree planting campaign was an idea and it inspired many people in Ahmedabad. The people of Ahmedabad are happy about the Guinness World Record for plantation in Ahmedabad.
